Post 53 – Another Jewel on the banks of River Thames

Temple Island is located on the River Thames just downstream from Henly on Thames.  The island was originally part of the Fawley Court Estate and the elegant Temple built by the then owners as a folly and used as a fishing lodge.

The island was purchased by Henley Royal Regatta in 1987 and is the start of the Henley Royal Regatta Course.
